Well since I have already moved everything from their site to WordPress, there is nothing left for me to do, except for to just delete the links that are uploaded. Also, since they are closing I will close our yahoo email account that’s associated with our MG site which we haven’t used since sometime last year.

That’s it for now, still working on the changes and updates; stay tuned!

Roaming and researching

I am still doing the promo travelling thing, this time round it has been very interesting…. fun, fun, fun, until daddy takes my T-bird away haha! Finally got a rest today and doing some research, a few weeks ago a Rock band from Madrid, Moebio, requested a listen to their music. To say the least, I was mesmerized by their intense sound, power-hitting to the deepest of the soul guitars and smooth, straight-forward idealistic vocals from the lead, Hector Geronimo. My head simultaneously started swaying instantly the music began. Basically, Moebio’s music you can feel and see every lyric. Check them out. http://www.moebioweb.com and watch some of their videos on http://www.youtube.com/moebio

At the moment, I am listening to Samy Deluxe; truly, truly amazing Hip-Hop rapper. Check his stuff out – http://www.samy-deluxe.de

On ending note – thanks to all who came for the selected chat tonight/this morning; good turn out, special thanks to the ones who were friends of friends who were friends of friends who came; you guys rock.

I’m still working on a lot of reviews and such, keep watching for the new goodies.

That’s it, my dry cough is back I need a half of a bottle of cough suppressant and get at least 2 hours of sleep.

Luke Mulholland in your face, hear him now!

Attention: Two words … Luke Mulholland
Classic Blues Rock his music will blow you. Check it out http://www.lukemulholland.com

In August, 2007, Luke delivered a two hour set at the Outdoor Burlington Rib Festival before and enthusiastic crowd of 10,000 people, his largest audience since opening up For Bon Jovi in 2006.

Over the summer, Luke Mulholland Headlined a sold out show at Jeff Healey’s RoadHouse in Toronto, Canada performing many of his new originals for the first time, totally a blast!

Luke Mulholland is currently attending Berklee Music College in Boston, where he is reforming his band Mulholland Drive with some Boston players and will be gigging up and down the US East Cost bars, Universities and Colleges.

The word around is Mulholland is the next Jonny Lang intertwined with rock. I so agree!

Jimmy Lloyd is kicking ass and making music

I just received a request to add on one of my blogs, always looking for interesting music I clicked his site and listened to his playlist. His ‘head-bopping-hip-swaging’ song ‘Half Human’ caught my attention first. Clicked play and my head started nodding ‘oh yeah’ She’s half human… After a hard day at work on a Friday of all days, many can relate to this song especially on the freeway; loads of half humans.
So I am recommending… you have got to listen to artist, Jimmy Lloyd – http://www.jimmylloyd.com

Finland’s edgy driven rockness

It is times like this when I discover sometimes that is worth discovering; something that gets my music cells jumping…I adore times like this. Surfing through the net and landed on this Metal/Rock-Christian band from Finland, L-60°, these guys know what music is all about, singing from the heart and soul of everyday life stories and struggles. Heck, we have all had our experiences of struggles, dreams, hopes, faith, love and happiness. Yeah, all bands write about the same stuff; however, only a few can nail the perfect wave…it is like being in the Green Room/Green Wall and you surfers what that’s like, well L-60° is the perfect Green Room.

http://www.l-60.com

I recommend checking this band out. Quoted from their blog ‘If Bon Jovi and The Queens of the Stone Age had a baby and the baby would marry Survivor ( the Eye of the tiger one LOL), that would make L-60°.
Recommend tracks – ‘Someone Else’, ‘99’, and ‘In The Air’ from their album ‘Feel Nothing’.

Speaking of The Breakfast Club, the movie not the band. A plethora of emails have swamped our inbox asking ‘Who is the artist that sings The Breakfast Club theme “Don’t You – Forget About Me” In the new JC Penny commercial’ which is a spoof on the 80’s classic movie?’

While there are various bands with different versions of the classic (Simple Minds) theme song, the most popular one is the talented foursome Canadian band, Hawk Nelson, who is featured in the promotion for JC Penny ‘Get The Look!’ http://www.hawknelson.com

Poets And Pornstars – New show and new lead

If you haven’t heard the lead, Hal Ozsan, is no longer with the band; so during a long drawn out process the band started looking hi and low, every nook and cranny for an individual best suited to carry on what they had started and to help manifest their new musical vision. In the end, they succeeded. So this Friday, head to the Roxy and meet their new lead, Jeremy Aric, and party hard like you never partied before mothermusiclovers!
