MousaGenre Promotions

About Us

Established in 1994, MousaGenre Promotions is a music resource/promotion webzine providing advice and tips, recording labels, representatives, radio stations, and other professional resources for unsigned bands, lesser known bands; as well as songwriters.

The word Mousa derives from the Greek word muse; muse was one of the nine Mythological goddesses, who inspired poetry and music. Genre is the art of style, joined together the two forms one powerful network of all poetry and music.

We feel there is an enormous rate of independent, unsigned emerging artists of all genres in the world is utterly lost. These bands are not being heard and that rate is growing fast. Not only are we dedicated to these unknown artists, musicians, and bands; but we are committed to songwriters, session musicians, even labels, recording studios, and other promotion companies, etc.; trying to help pave the way to the front door.

On this blog you will you will find up-to-date news, updates happening on the sites, upcoming projects and much more… you are welcomed to give us your thoughts, suggestions/feedback.

What Others Are Saying: It warms our hearts to know that others are grooving to what we are doing.

There is a hidden wealth of talented original artists out in the world who deserve an audience and recognition but too often are unheard and unsung. Mousa Genre does an excellent job at searching out and uncovering new and undiscovered artists and bands, that’s why I’m such a strong supporter of MG, the MG crew, and their mission. Forge ahead MG’ers, there are more people than you know who appreciate all of the blood, sweat, and tears put into the MG site. Keep diggin’!” – Marissa Dodge — Songwriter, musician, producer.

Can I just say YOU GUYS ROCK!!! If everyone was like you guys out there, this world would be such a beautiful place to be!!! It really warms the heart that you both are there and so kind to your friends. Happy that I found you guys, thank you for all your support & strength.” — Tracie Minkoff — Sister Blue

We work hard at our craft, and at promoting ourselves to the masses, and sites like MousaGenre are awesome for bands like us that are truly giving it a shot for the big time.James — Zero Degrees And Falling
