Finland’s edgy driven rockness

It is times like this when I discover sometimes that is worth discovering; something that gets my music cells jumping…I adore times like this. Surfing through the net and landed on this Metal/Rock-Christian band from Finland, L-60°, these guys know what music is all about, singing from the heart and soul of everyday life stories and struggles. Heck, we have all had our experiences of struggles, dreams, hopes, faith, love and happiness. Yeah, all bands write about the same stuff; however, only a few can nail the perfect wave…it is like being in the Green Room/Green Wall and you surfers what that’s like, well L-60° is the perfect Green Room.

I recommend checking this band out. Quoted from their blog ‘If Bon Jovi and The Queens of the Stone Age had a baby and the baby would marry Survivor ( the Eye of the tiger one LOL), that would make L-60°.
Recommend tracks – ‘Someone Else’, ‘99’, and ‘In The Air’ from their album ‘Feel Nothing’.

Speaking of The Breakfast Club, the movie not the band. A plethora of emails have swamped our inbox asking ‘Who is the artist that sings The Breakfast Club theme “Don’t You – Forget About Me” In the new JC Penny commercial’ which is a spoof on the 80’s classic movie?’

While there are various bands with different versions of the classic (Simple Minds) theme song, the most popular one is the talented foursome Canadian band, Hawk Nelson, who is featured in the promotion for JC Penny ‘Get The Look!’ http://www.hawknelson.com

Poets And Pornstars – New show and new lead

If you haven’t heard the lead, Hal Ozsan, is no longer with the band; so during a long drawn out process the band started looking hi and low, every nook and cranny for an individual best suited to carry on what they had started and to help manifest their new musical vision. In the end, they succeeded. So this Friday, head to the Roxy and meet their new lead, Jeremy Aric, and party hard like you never partied before mothermusiclovers!

By Melanie of YogWorld

According to the Dallas News, George Michael will be performing a set at the (10th Anniversary) Two by Two for AIDS and Art gala at the home of art collectors Howard and Cindy Rachofsky) on October 25. His appearance will be in the late-night “Last Look Lounge,” sponsored by Museum Tower, Aston Martin of Dallas and Neiman Marcus.

E! is reporting that we may be seeing more of George Michael on “Eli Stone” next season. Executive producer, Greg Berlanti, said scheduling the show’s iconic; pilot-episode guest star for more episodes has been tricky but they are working on making it happen. “We’ve been talking about a Christmas episode George Michael would do around our ninth episode, so he may come back for that.”

Editor’s Note-
Lastly if anyone who still hasn’t seen George fool kissing Dr. Phil take a look here at this link George Mocking Dr. Phil …To me, it was hilarious George being George as usual -Loved it!!!

In other news…
